We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with a dynamic team of young environmental experts to launch The Green Academy Project, an initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between climate activism and biodiversity conservation. Running from January to July 2026, this project - led by Inês Guimarães, Nuria González Moreno, and Emma Tulley - is funded by the European Union through the Funding of Fairer Futures Program. It will empower European youth to become active agents of change by exploring the deep interconnections between our planet’s climate and biodiversity crises. By leveraging BAE’s extensive network of over 10 youth organizations, the project aims to foster a stronger, more inclusive movement where young leaders from all backgrounds can collaborate on synergistic solutions for a fairer future.

The Green Academy will deliver a comprehensive program featuring online roundtables, expert-led panel discussions, and immersive in-person activities in nature designed to build community power and practical advocacy skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience in project management and digital facilitation while working toward a tangible end-of-project goal: a policy toolkit. This toolkit will compile reflections and policy recommendations to be shared with EU policymakers, ensuring that the voices and expertise of young people directly influence the European environmental agenda. We invite all interested youth to join us in this effort to make the biodiversity-climate nexus a central pillar of European policy.
