In 2021, we created an umbrella of European youth-led initiatives for biodiversity working at a variety of levels - from EU policy advocacy to on-the-ground project implementation.

 

We want to build a strong, resilient, inclusive and representative network of youth change-makers and decision-makers for biodiversity. We believe that a structured coordination would allow for strengthening of the youth biodiversity movement, where we can empower each other, share best-practice, contacts, create partnerships and amplify each other’s voices. Through this, we want to mainstream the perspectives of youth on biodiversity amongst the European Institutions, and drive the transformative and systematic change that we need to address the challenges of today, and create the prosperous, equitable and sustainable future of tomorrow.

As BAE, we facilitate interactions between different youth initiatives for biodiversity to come up with joint and actionable ideas. We provide a shared communication space, we organise events, we are responsive, and we identify opportunities for collaborations.
