The coordination and communication among youth initiatives for biodiversity at European level has often been based on personal connections, which is not sustainable in particular due to the fact that youth initiatives are broadly based on volunteers who have a high turnover.

This is why Biodiversity Action Europe provides a platform for youth initiatives for biodiversity to keep in contact regularly, to get to know each other on a personal basis, to share about their projects and learn about others’, to collaborate on more projects, to connect policy work with field work, to benefit from a higher visibility within the group of initiatives and towards external stakeholders such as the European Institutions.

Within the BAE team, our mission is also to provide a space for personal development to our members, where everyone can learn, grow, and share - be it about biodiversity, youth advocacy, project management, communication, events' organisation, and a lot more!
